  • To qualify for next year’s Singles Cup, players must finish in the top 12 of this year’s Champion’s Shield.
  • Players will be seeded from 1-12.
  • Players seeded 1-4 are given a bye to the second round.


Doubles

Because of the Olympics and the Queen’s Jubilee this year, a lot of people struggled to get time off, so the Captain’s Day and the Doubles were amalgamated. The doubles were won by Stuart Courtenay and Martin Thorpe.

Singles

Rules:

  • Matches not played by the date stipulated will be declared void and both players will be eliminated.
  • Shots will be taken from the player with the lowest handicap. The other player will receive shots equivalent to 7/8 of the difference between their handicap and that player’s handicap.
  • The competition is a straight knockout over 9 holes. Matches halved over nine holes will go to extra holes until a hole is won.

This was held at Bletchingley Golf Club and was won by Stuart Courtenay.

This year the Frank Single Cup was played played on 30th September 2012 / 1st October 2012 at Ufford Park and was won by Martin Thorpe.
